I encourage you to start at the beginning because I’m asking you to read all three blog posts.
Part 2 – [You Are Here]
Let’s face it…
chances are that if you’re reading this, something has already gone terribly wrong and you need to learn how to defend yourself and your family from attackers without having to rely on weapons.
And let’s face it some more…
you won’t have a pistol with you everywhere you go and no matter how careful you are, we all know that you can’t take your gun with you while showering or using certain facilities.
What if in that very moment someone decides to attack you or one of your family members?
What if you forgot where you put your gun or noticed it’s out of bullets?
Would you chicken out because you’re too afraid to help your son or would you go out there, knowing that you too will be beaten?
Well, the fact of the matter is that in both of these situations you’ll get your butt kicked and for what? It won’t help make things better.
Your willingness to learn how to defend yourself.
You saw those martial arts experts in action movies hundreds of times already and you know how capable they are at defending themselves.
Well then, if that’s the case, then let’s see below what you can do to become a top class fighter.
1. Muay thai
One of the first types of combat sports you should learn is definitely Muay Thai. This is a full contact sport and it is special compared to the rest out there because it focuses on how you can attack your opponent and either kill or disable him. More to that, in Muay Thai you’ll learn how to use your knees and elbows as well and you are going to be very surprised at how much of a difference they can make in a fight.
In a lot of situations where one or more of your family members are threatened with death, you need to use lethal force and you cannot afford to second guess yourself. Attacking your opponent should be done in a way that leaves him unable to retaliate. You cannot bargain with someone that holds a gun at your daughter’s face nor with someone that has threatened you with a machete. Those guys are running on pure adrenaline and they’re doing what their instincts tell them to.
You need to use your full speed, your full strength and everything that you can use to defeat your opponent, since these fights are not about who attacked the other in a fair manner and who cheated. It’s a matter of life and death and you need to treat things that way. Scream from the top of your lungs if that’s what gives you power and courage and don’t stop from attacking until your opponent stops moving or cannot get up anymore.
If you learn Muay Thai, you won’t chicken out or be scared to death when someone comes at you with a knife, since you can easily knee that bloke in the jaw, grab his shoulders and then kick him in the gut. This is a brutal beating and will likely kill him if you kick him hard enough.
But hey, Muay Thai was initially developed for soldiers who had to defend themselves in the event they lost their sword. Legend has it that the most advanced practitioners can even take down a buffalo with their bare hands.
Keep in mind that in the beginning it can be quite painful to train your knees, elbows, fists and hands, but with every fist you throw at your homemade wooden opponent for instance, the harder your bones will become. After a while you are going to be surprised that you can feel no more pain and that’s when your bones will have hardened so much that you can easily annihilate your opponents with a well thrown fist.
Fairness and honor are 2 things that people who don’t fight for their lives can worry about, but when you have to fight for your life, then Silat is one type of martial art that can help you stay alive. Unlike Taekwondo or Karate, Silat has no spiritual side and it’s all about taking down your opponent and kicking him in the ribs, in the face or in other parts of the body until he can’t move anymore or dies.
3. The heel of your hand
If you love action movies, then you’ve seen this many times. The main character braces his arm and then uses the flat part of his palm in order to punch someone in the nose from the bottom up. This is a very useful way of protecting yourself from attackers, because when you do this properly, the cartilage of the nose will go into the brain, killing the opponent almost instantly. You may think that these types of hits are hard to master, but they are not and can happen pretty easily in real life.
4. Your boot
What happens when you have some sturdy boots on?
Well, you can use them in order to kick the opponent in the shin, since that is one part of the body that can break easily if you hit it hard enough. Once the shin is broken, your opponent won’t be able to get up anymore and you can continue kicking him in the face or in any other part of his body until he dies. If your opponent is a male, you can try and kick him in the groin as well, since this will immediately put him to the ground, allowing you to plan your next move.
Your personal safety and that of your family is an important matter, especially if you live far away from the city or in an area where the police or people rarely pass by.
By knowing exactly how to protect yourself from attackers, you can avoid unpleasant situations that may not only hurt you and your family members, but even kill them.
